~Chapter 3~
「Gil-chan.」
Coming out from behind the woodshed, I tried to go around the garden and return to the front door, but I bumped into my mother. It seems that she had just come back from outside.
It was not just Okaa-san, Okaa-san’s exclusive maid, the dog beastman Cynthia and my exclusive maid Maori were with her.
「What were you doing outside?」
「Um, um, secret!」
「Is that so, you can’t share it with Mama either?」
「Um…un!」
I deceived her with a childish smile.
「What did you do today?」

「Really? How admirable.」
Okaa-san said that and stroked my head.
I shouldn’t worry a mother like her, so I did not stay in the tutorial dungeon for too long.

This was a fantasy world. At night, the estate was pitch black.
The area near the bathroom was bright because there was a magic tool that produced light, but my room and hallway were in total darkness. .
When I pushed aside my curtains a little, the moonlight spilled into the room, so it became brighter.
「I wanted to test out the magic that I had learned though….」
I was a child, but I didn’t have much time.
After waking up, I was basically studying together with Okaa-san and Maori throughout the morning.
That was the time to study reading, writing, arithmetic, history, and geography.
I quickly finished the math, so I would silently continue to read and copy the books. I, who had the body of a child, needed to practice because my handwriting was not pretty.
I was free in the afternoon, so I would basically have spare time, but as expected, either Okaa-san or Maori would be there.
Other than Okaa-san and Maori, there were not many adults though. It would be difficult to avoid them and go to the altar.
At the very least, I did not yet have the opportunity to do that.
Today, Otou-san, Okaa-san, Otou-san’s steward-cum-knight Rederick, and the maids Maori and Cynthia all went out. The only adult left was Rodriguez, who was the cook and did odd jobs, so I was able to move autonomously .
「First, I need to go to the tutorial dungeon.」
I expanded the detection magic that I had just learned, allowing me to stay alert.
Detection magic was one that was rarely used in the game.
If it was someone who had an occupation that was affiliated with the thief system, most of their skills did not consume MP, and archers also had skills that could detect the enemy.
The advantage was that you had a wider detection range than those using the scout system mentioned above.
Also, was it possible to know an opponent’s strength without seeing it with your eyes?
One drawback was that it would continue to consume MP.
If you could absorb multiple elemental crystals, then it would be possible to limit the consumption of MP, but to begin with, there weren’t a large number of elemental crystals, even when including the detection attribute one.
During the story, there was a development where you could choose between a plant elemental crystal or a detection elemental crystal, and it was uncertain whether you would get it from the treasure chest in the last dungeon. I chose the plant elemental crystal as well, because when I had obtained it in the last dungeon, I had already finished leveling up my occupation as a scout, so there was no need to go to the trouble of using detection magic.
「…walking down the hallway alone, I wonder if Otou-san would be in his office?」
I thought that there would be servants in the detached building, but it seems that the detection did not reach that far.
It was near Okaa-san’s room.
Otou-san had woken up, so it was probably Rederick who was walking down the hallway.
「…it seems impossible.」
To go to the altar, I had to go down the stairs via the hallway.
It wouldn’t matter if it was during the day, but I would be sent back to my room if I was wandering around at night.
The bathroom was on the first floor, so it wouldn’t be a problem if I said that I was going there, but it would be strange if I wasn’t coming back from that direction. They would definitely be worried and I would get scolded if I gave a bad excuse. I didn’t want to make them mad.
「Muu, it can’t be helped.」
Going to the altar would be called off, so let’s practice magic.
「Fire is dangerous, water is…I don’t want them to think that I peed myself. Perhaps something other than these two.」
I first used wind and the air went around and around.
In the game, magic was fixed, but this was not a game.
Just like when I had tried out the water magic in the tutorial dungeon, if I had the image in my mind and invoked my MP, then it would become magic.
It was written in the book that those who did not receive a job would be able to use simple magic. When I told Otou-san about the book, he also agreed with what it said, so it should be common knowledge.
In other words, if you had a clear image and invoked your MP, then it would become magic.
「Also, space magic….」
When Gatoms become a companion in the game, he was at level 1, but he was able to use the space magic 『Storage』. The fact that you could put more things into Storage the higher your level was was related to the amount of MP you had, but if you could use it at level 1, then I wondered if the level of difficulty of the magic was actually that high or not.
Maa, the elemental crystal itself was a valuable item that you couldn’t obtain unless you defeated the followers of the boss in the latter half, so there’s that.

I used magic and stored the quill pen.
I did it.
The space warped and I was able to store the item into it.
I could take it out as well.
「…this, is it, useful?」
I wonder?
It might be useful to transport items to a place further away. Maa, currently, I did not have such plans to do so.

I flatly refused.
One con was that you wouldn’t know how much you could put in there.

The room only had a desk, chair, cabinet, and a bed.
There were only objects that were extremely light or extremely heavy. For the time being, I was able to move them, so it’s not a problem.
「Yawn, I’m sleepy.」
Although I took a nap, it was now night time.
It wouldn’t be good to go overboard.
I slipped into the futon and closed my eyes.
I was immediately overcome with sleepiness.
